Vigil & Workshop Event

Join us for a peaceful vigil at Mary’s Ranch (4:30pm- 6pm) and after an empowering/ inspiring workshop (7pm) with two highly effective animal rights activists visiting from out of town, John Oberg and Thomas Goodman. This is a free event, open to the public!

About the Speakers:

John Oberg is an animal advocate and social media influencer, dedicated to making the world a kinder place for animals by utilizing the power of social media. In 2019, he launched his own independent project for animals through Patreon to maximize his impact for animals. Previously, he served as Director of New Media for the international animal protection organization, The Humane League and as Director of Communications for Vegan Outreach. In 2019, impressions of his posts on social media totaled over 200 million.

Thomas has been a lifelong admirer of animals, was raised meat-free and later became a professional advocate in 2014. He has since worked in various initiatives such as corporate outreach, federal state and regulatory advocacy, promotion of Meatless Mondays, leafleting across North America, public speaking, campaigning, community organizing, and more for the animal protection movement.
